Is the food any good? I’ve been meaning to try it out.

The food is delicious, and the service is WAY FASTER than at Sweet Mango. Also, I forgot my wallet at Pink Snapper once, and they had it waiting for me when I returned a couple of hours later, with everything intact.

I only went once after they opened, but I liked it. – and the service is much friendlier than Sweet Mango. The name will always crack me up.

Too many jamaican joints in Petworth/Park View. Sweet Mango is great some days, lousy others. I have heard better things about this place. Luckily the dumpy jamacian joint at Princeton and GA is going away when that building is torn down!

There are like three….why is that too many?

I’m Trinidadian and was pretty disappointed with the food here. It wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t “anything to write home about.” In my opinion it’s the kind of food that tastes great to someone who didn’t grow up eating Caribbean food, but if you’re from the Caribbean you should probably not even bother. Despite that, I’m happy they are expanding, because there are lots of folks who enjoy their food.

What’s your favorite carribean joint in Petworth or all of DC? And which all have you tried?

For me, Andrenes has great ox tail, sweet mango is good too. Move & Groove (Georgia ave) is also tasty and great price.
