MPD Identifies Person of Interest Sought in an Attempt Sex Assault near Shaw Metro

“The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a person of interest in connection with an Attempted Sexual Assault which occurred in the 1800 block of 7th Street, NW, on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at approximately 11:44 am.

Crime Solvers of Washington, DC currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.”

    that film quality is terrible – can’t Metro install some cameras with higher resolution?

      It looks like this video is from a convenience store, not Metro.

      As far as I can tell neither the crime nor the footage has anything to do with Metro, it just happens to be near the station.
