Culture Coffee opened up back in Nov. of last year. A great score for that former coffee desert. Now they’ve applied for a liquor license too (I think Qualia and Filter might be the last coffee shops left without liquor licenses…)

The liquor license placard also has one of the funnier typos I’ve seen:

“Coffee Shop that serves sandwiches, pastries, snakes. Entertainment Endorsement/Cover Charge, Open Music, Poetry, Book Readings. Occupancy load 15.”

Hours of operation are listed as Sunday: 10am – 5pm, Monday through Friday: 7am – 10pm, Saturday: 8am – 10pm.

Good for Culture. They have good coffee and good pastries and a cool vibe without the pretentiousness of other uptown coffee spots. Its going to be tough to get a drink in during the week with those hours though.

whoops, I read that backwards as closing at 7pm. Nevermind my poor reading comprehension.

I live 5 minutes from here and had no idea this even existed, I pass this almost every weekend heading to Rock Creek Park straight down Kennedy. So good to know!

Thanks for posting a photo . I’ve heard of it but seem to always miss it on the bus . They need a sign. This area needs more coffee!!!

It’s just beer and wine for events, not liquor.

And there’s a giant full color mural on the wall. You can’t miss it.
