Four Arrests Made in Bank Robbery: 1300 block of 9th Street, NW

“The Metropolitan Police Department/Federal Bureau of Investigation Violent Crimes Task Force announced today that four suspects have been arrested in connection to a bank robbery that occurred in the 1300 block of 9th Street, Northwest.

On Thursday, May 15, 2014, at approximately 10:40 am, police officers of the Third Patrol District responded to a call for a robbery at the Colombo Bank located in the 1300 block of 9th Street, Northwest. Upon their arrival, they interviewed bank employees that indicated that three black subjects entered into the bank and produced a demand note announcing the robbery. The three subjects were given an undisclosed amount of US Currency and then fled the bank.

On Thursday, May 21, 2014, at approximately 1:00 pm, 20 year-old Allante Alexander of Southeast, Washington, DC and 25 year-old Allesha Alexander of Northeast, Washington, DC, were arrested by members of the Violent Crimes Task force, pursuant to a District of Columbia District Court Arrest Warrant charging them with Robbery.

On Friday, May 22, 2014, at approximately 10:00 am, 20 year-old Alex Alexander of Southeast, Washington, DC and 24 year-old Alvin Alexander, III of Southeast, Washington, DC. were arrested by members of the Violent Crimes Task force, pursuant to a District of Columbia District Court Arrest Warrant charging them with Robbery.

“These arrests exemplify our collective resolve to identify, arrest and prosecute anyone involved in violent crimes that places our neighborhoods at risk.”
