From a press release:

“On Friday, May 9, DC’s newest concert venue Echostage (2135 Queens Chapel Rd. NE, DC. www.echostage.com) will host Paris Hilton, for her first-ever DJ set in the nation’s capital. Tickets to see The Heiress start at $20 and will go on sale today at noon. District high-rollers and true Hilton fans can get their own royal treatment with Echostage’s VIP-table service. To reserve a table, call 202.503.2330.

Hilton will takeover Echostage, spinning her hottest tracks from “Nothing In This World” to “Last Night,” among other popular hits. Carlos Melangé will open for the international mega-star and the night will end with a performance by George Acosta. With over 20 years of experience as a DJ and producer, Acosta is a driving force in the EDM industry.

Echostage is DC’s newest and largest nightlife concert venue. Between a sprawling, 30,000 plus sq. ft. layout, top-tier sound design, and advanced LED visual displays, it’s no surprise the versatile space – which opened in September, 2012 – has already attracted industry heavyweights such as Lorde, Jay Z, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Avicii, Armin van Buuren, Hardwell and Tiesto.”

What’s the over/under on when a stabbing and/or shooting will shut this place down?

    • Anonymous

This place will have been open for 2 years in September. Only one incident has happened and that was when a college student overdosed. Stadium next door has much more issues. Echostage isn’t going anywhere, it was just ranked 19th best club in the world.

I wish Eddie Murphy could get back into the music game. “Party All the Time” is highly underrated.

    Gawd, EDM. Amirite?
People are counting their fat stacks now, but this shit will be gone in 5 years.

    Uhhh… why?

  • I can listen to quite a bit of EDM, but this is serious eyeroll worthy material.

Will they be putting her up in that creepy Days Inn down the street? Also, kudos to Paris Hilton keeping herself alive this long!

    From a 2007 article:

In an interview from the Los Angeles jail where she is serving a sentence for driving while banned, celebrity inmate Paris Hilton claimed a remarkable transformation in her character. She said she was no longer superficial, had found God, wanted to work with sick children and had not looked in a mirror since entering prison.
Speaking to the veteran television anchorwoman Barbara Walters by phone, Hilton revealed herself to be an acute critic of her former persona. “I’m not the same person I was,” she said. “I used to act dumb. It was an act. I am 26 years old, and that act is no longer cute. It is not who I am, nor do I want to be that person for the young girls who looked up to me.

“I know now that I can make a difference, that I have the power to do that. I have been thinking that I want to do different things when I am out of here. I have become much more spiritual. God has given me this new chance.”

      That’s hilarious!

The only industry that doesn’t collectively look bad with Paris Hilton as a major figure is Porn and she wasn’t even good at that!
