Armed Robbery/Slashing at 8:30 pm Mon. Night in the 2400 block of N St, NW

“On Monday, April 21, 2014, at approximately 8:30 pm, a lone male victim was walking in the park area of the 2400 block of N St., NW (Francis Jr. High School). At this moment the victim was approached by a subject who, without warning, proceeded to slash the victims upper arm with a pair of scissors. The suspect then demanded that the victim relinquish his wallet or he would continue to slash the victim. The victim complied and the suspect was last seen fleeing on foot east on N St. The victim sustained injury as a result of this attack and was treated by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services on the scene of the incident.

The suspect in this case is described as a black male, 5’10”, medium build wearing a camouflaged colored cap, gray top and dark pants, carrying a black back pack. The victim indicated that the suspect was in the area of the Trader Joe’s prior to the attack.
