From the National Weather Service:

“Winter Storm Warning for District Of Columbia, DC

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 PM EST MONDAY…

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BALTIMORE MD/WASHINGTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW… SLEET… AND FREEZING RAIN… WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 PM EST MONDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* PRECIPITATION TYPE… FREEZING RAIN… CHANGING TO SLEET… AND THEN HEAVY SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS… UP TO ONE TENTH INCH ICE… MORE AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS… THEN 8 TO 12 INCHES OF SNOW.”
