“The Metropolitan Police Department has announced multiple arrests as a result of an investigation into a drug a distribution operation primarily in the Sursum Corda neighborhood in Northwest, Washington, DC.
Members of the Metropolitan Police Department conducted an investigation that began in January 2014 and ended in March 2014. The investigation led to the arrests of 10 individuals pursuant to DC Superior Court warrants on charges of Distribution of Crack Cocaine. The investigation was conducted by various units to include Vice Units from the First, Third, Fourth and Fifth Districts; members of the Narcotics and Special Investigations Division; Homicide Branch; District Detectives; the Fugitive Task Force and members of the First District Patrol and the Canine Unit. The following individuals were arrested between March 22 and March 25, 2014:
24 year-old Marc Anthony Bolden of Northwest
19 year-old Kenen Yvan Braxton of Northeast
41 year-old Earl Robert Cephus of Northwest
25 year-old Saidu Davies of unknown address
30 year-old Alan Tracy Maybin of Northwest
36 year-old Lorenzo Preston Prailow of unknown address
36 year-old Terry Donnell Thomas of unknown address
21 year-old Nhyre Andre Toliver of unknown address
21 year-old Anthony Dwayne White of unknown address
38 year-old Marquette Dion Whitley of Northwest”

St. Mary Armenian Church will hold its 75th Annual Armenian Fall Food Festival October 6-7 from 11am – 8pm at St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church (4135 Fessenden St. NW). Traditional Armenian Food will be available for both Carry-out and Dine-in including Lamb and Chicken Kabobs, Cheese Boreg, Baklava and a wide variety of other delicious dishes. We are in need of caring child care volunteers for upcoming events on Saturday, October 21st (in Washington, DC), and Saturday, November 4th (in Arlington, VA).
