1671 Wisconsin Avenue, NW

The French Apartment closed their doors last weekend. Their website described them as offering:

“a mix of antique through contemporary home decor.

Inventory changes weekly.

Antique and vintage American and European furnishings

Art Deco and Hollywood Regency Glamour

Mid-Century swank”

And further down the street at Wisconsin and O Street, NW the long vacant prime corner space is going to become a 7-Eleven.

OMG. We do not need a 7-11 in Georgetown. There will be chicken bones and hot dog wrappers littering the streets. We must stop this from opening.

LOL at a 7-11 opening in Georgetown. Countdown until “Capitol Liquours” moves into the neighborhood. [/sarcasm]

      There is already a 7-11 in Gtown @ 27th & P Street – I think you’ll live.

brookland-rez So true. The surrounding areas of 7-11’s are always so filthy in this city. Why the city allows the owners to get by without clean-up around their business I’ll never understand.

  • gee

    There is already a 7-11 in Georgetown, at 27th & P

  • Shelley

Up until a couple of years ago, Georgetown had a 7-11 on Wisconsin & O? that had been there since the 80s. Funny, that space is still unoccupied.

    • This is Wisconsin and O – what it in this same spot?

      • ontarioroader

There was a 7-11 at Wisconsin & Q/1600 Wisconsin Ave, which is probably what Shelley is referring to, but I think that closed about 12-15 years ago at least.

Pretty sure it closed sometime in the last 3 or 4 years, actually.

  • Anon

Not that I’m for it, but there’s always been a 7-11 in that area.

  • Not a Problem

There already is a 7-Eleven in Georgetown, at 27th & P. Been there for years.
Has it caused any problem with chicken bones?

    • I think they were kidding as some post comments like that in other neighborhoods where 7-11s open.

    • Anon

I live right behind the 7-11 at 27th and P… never had any issues with trash or litter

7-11…zzzzzz but then again there can only be so many discount euro fashion shops per block.

  • Nathan

Great, another 7-11 in the city for the homeless to block the doorway asking for money.
