Props to the Cops – Arrests in Recent Robberies

“Listed below are recent robbery arrests made within the last week.

First District

· Sunday, December 29, 2013 at approximately 9:55 pm, a complainant was in the 700 block of D Street, NE when two suspects assaulted her and took her property. An adult male and a juvenile male were arrested for Robbery Force and Violence.

· Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at approximately 9:30 pm, two complainants were in the 200 block of 8th Street, SE when they were approached by two suspects. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and announced a robbery. They took two purses and fled the scene. Two juvenile males were arrested for Robbery While Armed.

Third District

· Sunday, December 29, 2013, at approximately 4:30 am, a complainant reports that while in the 1400 block of R Street, NW, a suspect snatched his wallet and fled the scene. An adult female was arrested for Robbery (Snatch).

Fourth District

· Monday, December 30, 2013, at approximately 4:05 pm, a complainant reports that while in the 4100 block of Georgia Avenue, NW, he was approached by a male suspect that assaulted him. The suspect then took an undetermined amount of US currency and fled. An adult male was arrested for Robbery

· Saturday, December 28, 2013, at approximately 2:00 pm, a complainant reports that while in the 3100 block of Mount Pleasant Street, NW, he was approached by a male suspect who brandished a knife and announced a robbery. Taken was an undetermined amount of US currency. An adult male was arrested for Robbery While Armed.

Fifth District

· Sunday, December 29, 2013, at approximately 11:00 pm, a complainant reports that while in the 1000 block of Brentwood Road, NE, he was approached by a male suspect who announced a robbery and ordered the complainant to empty his pockets. Taken was a tablet. An adult male was arrested for Robbery (Fear).

Sixth District

· Sunday, December 29, 2013, at approximately 5:28 pm, a complainant reports that while in the 3900 block of Minnesota Avenue, NE, he was approached by a male suspect who assaulted him, took his property, and fled. An adult male was arrested for Robbery (Force and Violence).

· Saturday, December 28, 2013, at approximately 3:36 pm, a complainant reports that while in the 3600 block of B Street, SE, she was approached by a male suspect who snatched her purse and fled. An adult male was arrested for Robbery (Snatch).”
