Props to the Cops – Arrests in Recent Robberies

“Listed below are recent robbery arrests made within the last week.

First District

Friday, December 18, 2013 at approximately 6:45 pm, two subjects approached an individual in the 600 block of H St NW and demanded money and property. One of the suspects stabbed the individual with an unknown weapon in the leg before fleeing the scene with the complainant’s cell phone. Two adult males were arrested for Robbery While Armed (Knife).

Second District

· Monday, January 6, 2014, at approximately 8:33 pm, a complainant reports that while in the 3000 block of Van Ness Street, NW, she was approached by two male suspects and a female suspect and knocked her to the ground. Taken was a wallet containing U.S. Currency, a debit card, and groceries. Two juvenile males and a juvenile female were arrested for Robbery (Force and Violence).

Third District

· Sunday, January 5, 2014, at approximately 11:00 am, a complainant reports he was approached from behind at Park and Luray Places, NW, and suspect snatched his wallet and fled the scene. An adult male was arrested for Robbery (Snatch).

· Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at approximately 11:56 am, a complainant reports she was approached by an adult male suspect and an adult female suspect, in the 1200 block of U Street, NW. Both suspects announced a robbery and demanded the complainant’s cell phone. Both suspects fled and did not obtain the complainants cell phone. Both suspects were arrested for Attempted Robbery.

· Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at approximately 3:57 pm, a complainant reports he was approached by three male suspects in the 700 block of Harvard Street, NW, The suspects threatened the complainant, and one of the suspects snatched the cell phone from the complainant’s hand and fled the scene. Two adult males and one juvenile male were arrested for Robbery (Snatch).

Fifth District

· Thursday, January 9, 2014, at approximately 8:07 pm, a complainant reports that while in the 1700 block of Gales Street, NE, he was approached from behind by two male suspects who struck the complainant in the face, knocking him to the ground. Taken was a jacket and cell phone. Two juvenile males were arrested for Robbery (Force and Violence).

Sixth District

· Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at approximately 11:50 am, a complainant reports that while he was working inside his establishment located in the 3500 block of East Capitol Street, NE, he was approached by two female suspects who were attempting to return hair care products. When he advised them that they would be receiving a store credit and not cash, they assaulted him, took U.S. Currency, and fled. Two adult females were arrested for Robbery (Force and Violence) of an Establishment.

· Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at approximately 2:55 pm, a complainant reports that during an argument with her boyfriend in the 5600 block of Central Avenue, SE, he kicked her to the ground and fled. Taken was a cell phone. An adult male was arrested for Robbery (Force and Violence), Domestic Violence.

Seventh District

· Sunday, January 5, 2014, at approximately 7:10 pm, a complainant reports that while in the 1700 block of Stanton Terrace, SE, he was approached by two male suspects who threw the complainant to the ground. Taken was a cell phone and pizza. A juvenile male was arrested for Robbery (Force and Violence).

· Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at approximately 6:10 pm, two complainants report that while in the 1800 block of Frederick Douglass Place, SE, they were approached by a male suspect who produced a handgun and took the complainant’s bicycle. A juvenile male were arrested for Robbery (Gun).

· Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at approximately 10:55 am, a complainant reports he was approached from behind in the 2700 block of Stanton Road, SE, by a male suspect who produced a handgun and announced a robbery. Taken was U.S. Currency. An adult male was arrested for Robbery (Gun).
