Ugh. I can’t decide which would be worse – this, or Baja Fresh.

      definitely moe’s!

      • jim_ed

Definitely. Baja Fresh is fine if you avoid the rice and any meat not named chicken. Moe’s on the other hand tastes like a burrito constructed by your middle school cafeteria.

Yeah, I find Baja Fresh to be bearable. Better than Cal Tort and Lime. Never had Moes.

    Excited to try this!

    Yes Moe’s is terrible.

    Welcome to Moe’s!

      Welcome to NoMa.

  • JT

I work in NoMa, and this is disappointing news. I really hope that NoMa isn’t on it’s way to becoming another Columbia Heights.

+1. It’s not as if there aren’t decent local taco joints in D.C. (or other casual/fast casual restaurants). I’d love to see El Chilango there, for example.

    • Anonymous

Sadly, I think all of D.C. is on the verge o becoming another Columbia Heights.

  • Rich

Oh boy, Atlanta style Tex-Mex. What could be more revolting?

  • anonnn

I must be in the minority, but I am excited for this. I like Moes and crave it every once in a while.

    • Anonymous

      I like Moe’s too. Don’t worry, you’re not alone.

    • Anonymous

I’m also a fan of Moe’s and prefer it over Chipotle. Free chips and a salsa bar is great.

  • Molly

Agreed. I work in noma too and this is the last kind of place we need.

  • I don’t particular care for it, although my partner loves their queso, but I fail to see how positive business growth is a negative thing for your NoMa residents? It’s not like some “authentic” Tex-Mex local place was clamoring to get into the space and Moe’s just edged them out… Be happy you’ve got something going in, rather than an empty office spot.

Nothing says “vibrant streetscape” like the sight of dozens of poor souls sharting themselves in agony.

It’s no Chipotle, but it’ll do! Glad there’s more moving into the neighborhood, even if it’s a chain.
