I’m from Illinois, birthplace of this store, and I think it’s just so bad. Am I doing it wrong? For those of you who like it, could you explain what you like about it? I’m not just trying to bad mouth this place, I want to like it, but I just don’t get it.

It’s just basic sandwiches with decent quality ingredients, made fast. I really wouldn’t consider them gourmet by any stretch. I think their bread is one of the best aspects of their sandwiches.

I also don’t get this place. Sure, it’s better than Subway, but having your junk nailed to a plank and dragging the lumber down the sidewalk is better than Subway.

        Disagree—I prefer Subway.

I don’t think you’d be writing that if you have actually tried both.

I remember thinking it was awesome when I was in college in central Illinois 20 years ago. But I’m not in central Illinois anymore and have a little more money these days, so I doubt I’ll be eating there.

    Then there’s this.

Turns out ol’ Jimmy’s a big game hunter.

    Not at all appetizing, hm?

Holy shit, that’s awesome! But yeah, cat meat is disgusting.

Had Capriotti’s the other day, mind was blown. Delicious, probably my go to to spot over Subway/John’s/Taylor/Quiznos.

I wish it was a Jetties instead.

Speaking of fast food – any story on what happened to Lime Fresh in Columbia Heights?
