Dear PoPville – Heads Up for Random Car Vandalism on Randolph Street

“Dear PoPville,

Just a heads up about some broken windows in the Petworth neighborhood. My boyfriend was parked near the intersection of Randolph and 8th last night. Sometime after midnight, but before 5pm today his side mirror was punched/smashed up. It could’ve been from a person or a car; I’ve attached a photo (above). Nothing was stolen from the car.

On NYE a friend of a friend (so no one connected to myself or my roommates) parked in front of my house (on 8th st) and had their back window smashed out. In that case the criminal might have been tempted because something was left in the car.

If any of you park on the street it would be a good idea to keep an eye out, take things out of your car, etc. If anyone saw someone hit and run on Randolph or saw anything relating to the other incident it would be great if you could let me know.”
