2 Persons of Interest Sought in a robbery force and violence in the 600 block of 3rd Street, NE

“The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two persons of interest in connection with a robbery force and violence which occurred at approximately in the 600 block of 3rd Street, NE.

On Thursday, January 9, 2014 at approximately 3:00 pm, an adult female was walking in the 600 block of 3rd Street, NE when she was approached from behind by two suspects. One of the suspects assaulted the complainant and took her iPhone and head phones. The suspects then fled eastbound in an alley towards 4th Street, NE.

One of the persons of interest is shown below:


Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.”

    With a photo like that they will catch him quickly. Thugs like this are such repeat offenders that the police know who they are and where they live and hang out.

    It is hard to get convictions, though.

    How did the police get that photo? I assume the phone automatically uploads photos and the victim gave the police the photo, but it’s not obvious.

    Woman was probably walking home from work where she earns money to pay taxes that have probably paid for his food and housing. I guess he wanted her phone too.

    I had several packages stolen off my porch last week in that neighborhood. I found the empty Amazon box down the street.

        Same here. And I don’t know if WJLA interviewed the victim on the phone or online, but they — or she — transcribed it as “#yourdumb.” #youneedtolearnpunctuation
