    Meanwhile, acording to today’s Post:

    ///////////
    ….D.C. Public Schools announced this month that it purchased 4,000 new musical instruments for schools around the city, as well as 2,000 desktop computers, more than 1,300 laptops and tablets, art supplies and science lab equipment.

    The school system also bought 85,000 new books for school libraries around the city….
    /////////////////

    I hope buried somewhere in those purchases are a bunch of new locks to keep this stuff from the burglars.

    Way to go DC! Crime is running rampant and no one is doing a damn thing!

  • From the videos and police descriptions, these burglars were in the schools for over an hour. That leads to three questions:

    1. Are there security systems in schools that alert the police? If not, why not?
    2. If there are security systems in schools that alert the police, were officers dispatched? If not, why not?
    3. Am I the only one asking these basic questions? If so, why?

    • gotryit

      They are very good questions. We need to make it a lot harder for people to commit crimes here.

  • kyle-w

    Perhaps some very good security systems. The $100,000,000 cardozo renovation should have included a couple of hundred thousand in security systems…

  • whovous

    They might spend a few dollars on security cams good enough to produce something recognizable as a face. Talk about low-res…
