“Dear PoPville,

Le Pain Quotidien is coming to that hold out property at 4th and mass in between the office bldg and apartment building right there. I know a few months back you had mentioned it may be a 7/11 but turns out the developer is putting in an LPQ. Should be great for that neighborhood.”

The reader hears the lease has already been signed and LPQ should probably open in a few months. Stay tuned.

Soon to be known as, Le Pain Everywhere.

  • C

Weird – there’s already an LPQ at Union Station, which isn’t too far from here.

    • AG

Yeah, but four blocks by DC standards is like 4 miles anywhere else. That and it isn’t the most pleasant of walks.

    • Duponter

There is also one at 10th and F, not terribly far from there either. I guess it’s the new Paul/Chipotle/Subway.

PAUL is not nearly that ubiquitous.

  • Nick

    Cool spot!

you see a cool spot, i see a lost fortune.

        are you Austin Spriggs?

This property made the record books for the greatest national real estate shakedown attempt in decades.

The owner left an unbelievable, life altering fortune on the table because he didn’t know when to say “enough”.

  • Sir Douchy

This is where they filmed the movie “Up.”

  • Anonymous

thank god its not a 7/11

  • Anonymous

Four years ago it was supposed to be a Ledo’s…thus the “ZZA” you see in the yellow sign.

  • Bob

This is FANTASTIC! An even fancier subway next to the already fancy Subway Cafe! Just what the neighborhood needed.
