Yesterday I mentioned that the new Italian Restaurant, Ghibellina, coming to the former HR-57 space in Logan Circle was now hiring. Well their sign has also gone up and you can take a peek in the window of the first floor. Looks like another sweet addition to Logan Circle:

  • Bummer I left Logan right as Le Diplomate and this place are opening up, although I think at the price point they’re shooting for neither would have been “regular” destinations.

Hopefully their drink menu is better than the awful offerings we had at their Harold Black outpost.

    How do you pronounce it?

    • IIRC my conversation with the bartender at Harold Black, it’s “gee-buh-leena”.

Yes, that’s how it is pronounced (I’m Italian).

All that exposed, hard surface. For all that is holy. I know it is the trend now for any new bar/restaurant/club but would some sound-dampening materials like tablecloths, curtains, or anything be so hard so that a person can have a conversation at these places.

  • Speaking of italian…. where else can you get a good plate of picci around here? I am REALLY looking forward to this. Time frame?
