MPD updates the Dec. 22nd double shooting in Trinidad:
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a double shooting in the 1100 block of Bladensburg Road, Northeast, in which a second victim has died from his injuries.
On Saturday, December 22, 2012, at approximately 1:44 am, members of the Fifth District responded to a call for the report of a shooting in the 1100 block of Bladensburg Road, Northeast. Upon their arrival, members located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds lying in the roadway. Members of the DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services treated the victim who had no signs consistent with life. He was transported to the DC Office of the Chief Medical Examiner pending an autopsy.
The decedent is identified as 44-year-old Raymond Harris of Northwest, Washington, DC.
Fifth District members also located a second adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds in a vehicle in 1100 block of Bladensburg Road, Northeast. The second victim was transported to a local hospital and admitted in critical condition.
On Sunday, December 23, 2012 at approximately 8:44 am, the second victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The second decedent is identified as 69-year-old Nathaniel Beasley, Jr of Southeast, Washington, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
