By “police shooting” they mean the police did the shooting.

    Hope the officer is ok…

  • So What?

PV res.- your comment appears to suggest that the police officer, if they did in fact have to resort to firing their weapon, was in some way wrong for doing so. Do you know any of the facts about the altercation? Or are you just assuming that the police officer was driving along, felt the urge to shoot at an innocent bystander, pulled over and began shooting? It is obviously wrong to assume that the suspect was committing a crime, got caught by a police officer, and then used deadly force to try to avoid being arrested. Have you ever served with the police? Does your job involve trying to protect law abiding citizens while putting your life in danger ever single day? You should channel your anger towards the criminals, not the people who are trying to stop them.

      Whoa. Chill out.

Why yes, I do have some facts given that I live two blocks away and a number of my friends/neighbors saw/heard the whole thing. And I read the Washington Post story about the incident posted last night. I thought the terse press release posted here sounded like the police officers involved were shot and they were not. I was simply clarifying the situation.

I do not support people pointing guns at anyone, particular members of the Metropolitan Police Department. It cheers me that at least some of the officer’s bullets hit their mark and not my friends’ houses. It was our general consensus it was too bad they didn’t kill the guy. So how about we relax now, huh?

I wish the cops would come to my alley and take target practice on all the rats, totally infested, dozens and dozens each night. The other night I caught one within 10 seconds of baiting the trap! Rat bounty NOW!
