From a press release:

The race to the White House is on, and with no definite front-runner for the Republican Party, it’s still anybody’s game. Topaz Bar invites Washingtonians to stop by and catch the excitement on March 6, 2012 at its Super Tuesday Viewing Party. From 5 p.m. until close, Kimpton Mixologist Rico Wisner will stir up politically-charged campaign cocktails, including drinks inspired by the four GOP candidates and President Barack Obama. Patrons can throw their support towards their favorite presidential hopeful by ordering one of the following drinks from the official 2012 Topaz Bar Campaign Cocktail Menu:

· Romney Float – This rich, non-alcoholic treat features Old Dominion Root Beer finished with whipped heavy cream and a house-made “Salted Lake” caramel drizzle ($5). For those who can’t resist the hard stuff, a shot of Root Organic Liqueur ($6) can be added.

· Rick’s Tea Party – Throw your support towards Santorum. Tea is a large part of the mix in this cocktail featuring Green Tea Infused Absolut Vodka, Benedictine Liqueur, lemon juice and simple syrup. ($9)

· Ron’s PBR – Swig down an old-school beer that appeals to the younger generations too, and show support for Ron Paul with a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon. ($5)

· Gin-grich and Tonic – Choose an old classic with a hint of the South in honor of Newt with this twist on a traditional gin and tonic. Enjoy Bluecoat American Dry Gin and Fentimans Tonic Water topped off with a Leopold Bros. Peach Liqueur float. ($9)

· Home Sweet Home – Obama’s looking to keep his cushy digs at the White House for the next four years. Vote for the incumbent with this homage to District’s official cocktail – The Rickey. This sweet twist on the classic includes Bulleit Bourbon, lime juice, club soda and a hint of pineapple juice. ($9)

Following Super Tuesday, the Campaign Cocktail Menu will be offered until the official GOP nominee is selected. At that time, Topaz Bar will invite patrons to cast their “vote” for the presidency by sipping on their favorite candidate’s cocktail. The bar will keep a running tally of who’s in the lead until the general election in November 2012.

Topaz Bar’s presidential past dates back to the early 1900s when Theodore Roosevelt lived where the hotel now stands, during his tenure as McKinley’s Vice President and for a short time when president, before officially moving into the White House. For this reason, the 1733 N Street itself was sometimes referred to as the “Little White House.”

Kimpton’s Topaz Bar features creative, hand-crafted cocktails fashioned by Rico Wisner and contemporary small plates with a Moroccan twist created by Executive Chef Thomas Dunklin. Topaz Bar is open from 5 p.m. to close seven days a week. Happy Hour Liquid Therapy runs every Monday through Friday from 5 – 7 p.m. with special prices on drinks and food, and the bar’s weekly stand-up comedy night is held on Thursdays from 8-10 p.m. Topaz Bar is located at Topaz, a Kimpton Hotel, 1733 N Street, NW.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
