The 5pm Post – Beers for Becas 2012 (Aid El Salvador Fundraiser)

From an email:

As many of you may know, about 7 years ago I started Aid El Salvador (AES), a non-profit that focuses on education in El Salvador. Well, thanks in a large part to your support in making last year’s event a success, we will be throwing another fundraising event on March 29th to raise funds for AES to send over 100 kids to school this year! The price of schooling varies by grade and community, but on average, the cost of sending one child to receive one year of schooling is: primary $50, high school $350 and university $1,200. Once again, Haydees (a Salvadoran/Mexican restaurant in Mt. Pleasant) has generously agreed to donate 30% of all SALES to our cause! So please come out: enjoy some live music, food, drinks, raffle/silent auction, and company!
