    RIP Nathan’s

It wasn’t as nice as I thought inside and the service was sloooooooow. Got the fettucine alfredo. Was pretty good and the plating was unusual. RIP Nathan’s indeed, but I’m glad there’s a bit of vibrancy back to that prime corner.

My lady and I went there for a late dessert a couple weeks ago. We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly. We split the apple cobbler. The thing was tasty, but HUGE. I couldn’t believe it’s for one person. You’d be punishing yourself if you polished the whole thing off. Same goes for the frozen hot chocolate desserts we saw floating around. The one “for two” is more like “for four”.

they have some pretty awesome hot wings!

I had the crab cake sandwich too which they definitely did not skimp on the crab. They served their sweet potato fries with brown sugar crystals, it was a little much for me.

I was too full by the end of the meal to try the frozen hot chocolate, will definitely come back to try it though! Great for dinner with the girls.

I’ve been a few times and have been really underwhelmed by the food, but I’ve enjoyed the desserts. If there’s a line, I recommend peaking in to see if there are open seats at the bar-that’s what I did last time and my friend and I got our food around the same time the people who would have been right ahead of us in line got seated.

Agreed that the portions are huge for the desserts.

I was totally underwhelmed. The food was OK, but it was clear that they didn’t spend a penny on redecorating or even repairing the space. I assume they just assumed that being a “New York” institution would guarantee a full house. Unfortunately, it has!

Only been to the one in NYC, and had the frozen hot chocolate. Indeed, the desserts are huge. Should probably check this place out but not really interested in waiting in line.

Maybe I’ll take Kim’s reccommendation and sit at the bar.
