Dear PoP – Urban art! (in Rock Creek Park)

“Dear PoP,

The other day I was walking w/ my kids & some friends in the Melvin Hazen tributary of Rock Creek Park (at Tilden & Reno). My 5 yr old spotted this bug and we all came over to check it out. We’d never seen a bug so big and blue in the park! Then, as we got closer to take pics, we realized it wasn’t real! Somebody made a gorgeous wire bug and glued it to the rock. It made my day! Awesome idea for urban art. :) “

    That’s cute!

    Sounds like littering to me.

    • Bongo

      cute,but still trash.

Good point. I would find it cute in my yard or my neighbors yard, but in a park it is more like trash.

That’s not a good point! It’s a cute little innocuous thing in a city full of litter. Get some perspective!

    how exactly is this “urban”?

    • Bongo

NOT willing to settle for a trash filled city.Period.
Gladd my perspective is not as trashy as yours.

  • Pahbs

That is some wonderfully whimsical stuff. To think that is trash is to have a rotten soul.
