OK, I’ll take it. I walk by here daily and it was clear that something was happening in the space. A beer/wine store isn’t my first choice, especially since there’s a beer/wine store at Conn/Q, but at least it’s not yogurt or shoes. (Speaking of yogurt in Dupont, what’s up with the ‘Yogi Castle’ space at Conn/Hillyer? Nothing has happened there in a long time)

Name sounds like a good place to get a premade hoagie and a bottle of wine.

Yes, the Toscana Cafe website is highlighting the opening of Toscana Market in Dupont Circle, but there is no other information listed. I would guess that they will sell fresh foods like breads, sauces, prepared meals, and wine/beer. If so, it would be a nice addition to the area.

The window displays will be less interesting, that’s for sure.

My favorite part of this shop was watching tourist kids gawk at the display while their mommies and daddies tried to shoo them away

I’m a little disappointed that I’ll have to order my double-sided dildos now, instead of picking them up so conveniently just steps from my condo.
