$1285 sound right for this studio?

    $50 app fee per person, in case you wanted a roommate for your 300sf palace.

    but this is totally what I’d expect for a small studio in this kind of location; bring a money order to the open house.

    300 sq. ft= glorified walk-in closet, but the pics look decent. i’d say if you’re in the market for a dupont apartment, this should definitely be worth checking out at the open house (esp. considering there’s a w/d and dishwasher). just be prepared to pull the trigger on the spot, as i bet there will be many people there (can’t imagine a place like this would necessitate a 2nd night of an open house…?).

      glorified walk-in closet? You must live in a Potomac McMansion. This is avg size for a studio and good deal for the location. Will go very quick – considering location, price and amenities (DW, W/D, Pet friendly).

        300 sq ft is not the average size for a studio – anywhere in the district. Living in 3 locations in dupont in the last year, that is definitely not the case. I’d say most studios average in the 430-550 sq ft range.

        People’s definition of small varies, but 300 sq ft (and why can’t the leasing office figure out the exact amount?) is definitely on the small side in this city.

          I lived in a 350 sq ft studio at 18th and S. I would say this is an average size? 550 sq ft could be a jr/1 br

          Is it fairly common for the commentariat on this blog to use small samples of anecdotal evidence to make extrapolated, largely uninformed guesses about city-wide data, or is it just you?
