The 5pm Post – Community garden project in need of Materials

Photo by PoPville flickr user fromcaliw/love

“Dear PoP,

I am working with a team from Notre Dame Mission Volunteers-Americorps. We are starting a community garden at the Community of Hope Apartments in Southeast Washington. I was wondering if anyone would have any materials that could be donated to our cause: extra dirt, lumber, garden tools, seeds, pallets, etc. We would be happy to arrange a pick up and to provide additional information about our project. We will also be needing volunteers to help build beds, plant, and maintain the garden, as well as educate residents of the apartments about healthy living and garden care.”

Please email [email protected] if you are able to donate any materials.
