Lincoln Coming to old Mulino Space Downtown

A new restaurant called Lincoln is moving to the old Il Mulino space located at 1110 Vermont Ave. NW.

The Post’s Tom Seistema has some details:

“The owner of Hudson in the West End is expanding his reach to downtown, assuming the space vacated by Il Mulino at 1110 Vermont Ave. NW and turning it into an “upscale-casual” Lincoln, a 210-seat nod to the 16th U.S. president.

Lincoln is scheduled to open February 12 — the president’s birthday.”

I sure hope he has better luck than he did last time he visited downtown DC!

“Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy your meal?”

    • PG

You got it wrong. It’s “Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?”

And, “Other than that Mrs. Kennedy, how was Dallas?”

      • Herb

I’m well aware of the joke but this time ’cause she was in a restaurant…oh never mind!

        • canteloupe

some people just don’t get jokes.

          it was a good twist.

  • PoP man you butchered the spelling of Tom’s last name. Sietsema

  • WTF does “upscale casual” mean? Is that like “high-fat diet” or “dignified humiliation?” Do I have to wear pants? Tie a miniature beret to my wang? Will they have an old guy in the bathroom handing out towels? Am I supposed to tip this guy or what?

  • Petworthian

It means high priced diner food. Buffalo sliders?

  • Rod

What happened to Il Mulino? Their Web site says they’re going to open again someplace else in DC.
