The 5pm Post – Vida Senior Centers 41st Anniversary and Fundraiser

From an email:

“For the second year in a row, the Embassy of Finland, located across from Observatory Circle on Massachusetts Ave., is co-hosting the annual anniversary celebration of Vida Senior Centers. Vida is an Adams Morgan non-profit organization serving over 600 low-income seniors in the DC metro area, most of whom are Latino, through services and activities that seek to improve the seniors’ wellness, self-sufficiency and independence.

Join them on October 26, 2010 at 6:30 pm for their 41st birthday celebration, featuring a cocktail reception, an open bar, door prizes and a fabulous silent auction, live Latin music, salsa and tango dancing, and other exciting entertainment. Tickets are available for $100 (or $60 for young professionals) and must be purchased by October 22. The Embassy of Finland is the greenest embassy in the US and has won numerous prizes for its sleek energy preserving design. Have fun there and support Vida’s programs to help multi-cultural seniors in the metro area age in place and with dignity. To buy your tickets visit here or call Brigitte at 571-312-2709.”
