  • “totally renovated kitchen” is a bit of a bold claim. where are the cabinets??

  • extra side windows don’t matter much for a basement apartment. and where’s the rest of the kitchen?

    • I disagree on the windows. When I lived in a basement apartment, it was in a semi-detached house, and the extra windows on the side were very welcome. Better air circulation, more natural light. It was much more pleasant than some of my friends’ dark, stuffy spaces.

The kitchen could have been done better, but it’s not like you’re buying it. The counter space is good, and there’s lots of room to put cheap shelves and free-standing cabinets in there to store stuff. For $100 (maybe less given some time to peruse Craigslist/thrift/rummage stores) I could make that space functional for storage.

Personally, I’m more put off by the lack of bedroom pics in the listing. What, exactly, are they hiding by not including pics of the bedrooms? The building seems plenty big, and the pics of the common space not so huge, that the bedrooms should be a decent size…so???
