Mural Uncovered at 13th and U Street, NW

IMG_8005

“Dear PoPville,

I saw the item about the demolition at 13 & U, NW. I live near 12th & U and walk by there pretty regularly. The upper, more sun-bleached part of the mural was uncovered a week or so ago while the demolition was still underway. Then just a couple days ago the lower half of the mural, much brighter in color because it had been completely walled over, began to appear as workers slowly chipped away at the wall of the adjoining building.

Would be interesting to know when these were painted and the story behind them. Pretty sure that the building that housed Rite Aid and a few other shops was built in the 1980s, give or take, so obviously this mural pre-dates that. All I know for sure is that when we moved to the area in 2000 the Rite Aid building was there.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
