  • I once parked on Irving to run and get some medicine from the Columbia Heights CVS – hours before snowfall but only minutes after the Snow Emergency went into effect. Nine minutes in the store to get a $250 ticket. These “emergencies” are a nice little revenue boost for the city. Wish they were that prompt with clearing the streets of snow.

      They don’t know how long you planned to stay, only that you were breaking the law.

      • Thanks – I didn’t know that! My point was that it’s a costly mistake to be caught unaware – of the routes or the times.
