Congrats to Brookland Pint voted one of the “12 hottest new beer bars in the U.S.” by Zagat

From Zagat:

“#2Brookland Pint

Publican John Andrade continues his conquest of the District’s brew scene with this rustic tavern near the Catholic University, which one-ups sister establishments Meridian Pint and Smoke & Barrel in the sustainability department by devoting the majority of its 24 taps to locally made beers. A huge lineup of large-format bottles complements the pours, and the menu of upscale pub fare will satisfy vegetarians and meat lovers alike.”

  • While it’s a bit of hyperbole, good for them? Though I wonder how much this endorsement must’ve cost Andrade.

  • After 3 tries I give up on this place. Mediocre overpriced food. Enjoy the other new places in Brookland much more.

  • Zagat quit being relevant a while ago.

This is good publicity. Hopefully will bring more tourist dollars to the neighborhood.

  • The location is great so they can be solid and do well. You literally walk right by leaving the Metro, perfect for tourists visiting the Basilica . In terms of the new places it is my least favorite for food but it seems to have an actual ‘millennial bar scene’ (if you are looking for that). We actually have been to Meridian Pint 2x since we have been back to Brookland Pint and we live three blocks away. .

  • Pay to play wit Zagat, it is an empty endorsement but probably well spent advertising dollars by the Pint
