From a press release:

“The rooftop oasis nestled upon a renowned Dupont Circle hotel is now ready to kick off summer with a big splash. The Embassy Row Hotel, by Destination Hotels & Resorts, announced today that the three-month, $500,000 renovation of The Rooftop is nearly complete and will officially open to the public on Tuesday, July 1. The 4,130-square-foot, open-air roof terrace features a 450-square-foot swimming pool and outdoor lounge area adorned with resort cabanas and lounge seating giving travelers and locals a place to relax and unwind.

The Embassy Row Hotel offers the only outdoor rooftop terrace in Dupont Circle providing visitors with astounding views of the city including picturesque observations of the Washington Monument, National Cathedral and the surrounding DC and Virginia skylines. Nine stories up and refurbished to serve as an engaging social experience, The Rooftop atmosphere is enhanced by teak plush seating, modern landscape architecture and the addition of a new food and beverage menu, making it an ideal and sophisticated setting for a variety of purposes ranging from private events to casual summer retreats.

Accomplished food and beverage director and recent guest judge on Fox’s popular reality television cooking competition Hell’s Kitchen, Carlo de Leon was tapped by The Embassy Row Hotel to design an innovative culinary program that sources hand-picked local ingredients with a commitment to sustainability and regional flavors. The seasoned chef, who aids in the creation of culinary menus at distinguished hotels and resorts around the country, selected a fine assortment of food menu creations for The Rooftop. The exciting fresh menu includes: local whitefish tacos, savory local sausages, hearty crab cake sandwich, ramen burger, edamame cilantro hummus, dinosaur kale salad and a signature soft grilled giant pretzel accompanied with a sweet grained mustard. Beverage fare includes a variety of fresh specialty cocktails featuring the Rooftop Escape (Tito’s Vodka, Cedilla Acai Liqueur, lime juice, club soda), DC Sidecar (Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Cointreau, lemon juice) and Spring Fizz (Bombay Gin, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, raspberries, club soda). The extensive wine list features selections from California-based ONEHOPE Wine with proceeds of each purchase supporting numerous charitable causes.

Designed by HVS Design and Jonathan Nehmer & Associates, The Rooftop terrace and pool is the first phase completion of a massive $15 million renovation makeover of The Embassy Row Hotel. It features a casual, urban atmosphere with buoyant music playing various soundscapes that fill the skyline space. The design aesthetic is relaxed and playful with vibrant pops of peacock blue and orange accents interspersed throughout. Lounge seating of chaises and curtained cabanas are abundantly situated for relaxing and dining in the sun or shade. An emerald faux grass wall with uplighting creates a floating effect that offsets a striped pool deck in two shades of medium grey. Festival lighting illuminates the area that irradiates skyward and an over arching canopy covers a lounge section offering an upscale vibe.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
