Former High G Paint Co./Duron Store Getting Renovated in Mt. Vernon Square

Dear PoPville,
Is anybody aware of what might be going on with the old Duron paint store on 5th St., between I and K Streets? This is directly across from the building that is going to become “Success” restaurant. I tried to read the permits on the window but the chain link fence did not allow me to get close enough to see.
Lots going on in the area…curious to know if anyone has any insight?

they are going to need some more restaurant options to help support the lunch crowd at the new AMSA building… (I guess they have sweetgreen etc…). that area is going to be completely different in a year. crazy.
I live near by and I was told by an MVT official that the building is merely going through an external facade makeover.
