Solly’s Now Serving Lunch and Expansion Opens Tonight at 6pm

Last Sunday Solly’s started serving food at 11th and U Street, NW. They are now serving lunch starting at 12pm everyday. More good news – the long awaited expansion into the adjacent former Madjet Ethiopian space finally opens tonight at 6pm. Check it out:

Sounds tasty, but tell me, when exactly did tacos become so damn expensive? I guess I’m old, but I can remember when you could get really good tacos for less than a dollar.

I’m totally a fan of any place that calls them “sammiches”. That made me smile.
Addendum: Sammiches AND Awesome Sauce. It’s like they followed me around for a day and mimicked my vocabulary.

I like Solly’s. I like the trivia at Solly’s. I like the patio area at Solly’s (in the summer). Happy to see them get some food options.

Solly’s has the best wings I have ever eaten. Their Bloody Mary’s are awesome too. It has become the new hangout for me and my friends to watch football. Nellie’s is just too “over the top” on Sundays.
