Any news on when the new Walgreens in Van Ness is due to open? The signs are up and it looks like it is very close to ready — and at least from the outside, it looks like it is going to be huge.
I stopped by 4225 Connecticut Ave, NW on Sat. and was told they’ll be opening up Dec. 23rd. And it is gigantic. I think the building turned out pretty well.

What I wouldn’t give for a Walgreens on H St. or downtown! CVS sucks, and having only appx. 3 Walgreens in the city, all in mid-upper NW really is a shame.
Any idea what is opening next door to the Walgreens? It looks like they have cafe chairs set up.
