  • So gorgeous! Exactly the type of condo I want to buy.

  • Let me start this by saying that I am not fazed by DCs high rental prices anymore, but I find this to be an extremely bad deal.

$3,400 for two bedrooms, have no parking spot, no private outdoor space PLUS you pay all utilities except water. And to top it off you get to live tucked around the corner from the sh*t end of Adams Morgan. You won’t even be able to go to the Pay Less anymore!

Sounds like an atrocious deal. Once you top off $3k a month there are many fantastic spaces available in the city – and in much better locations. But, EJF knows the market and I suppose they think it will rent.

  • Its a beautiful space but the bedroom with all glass doors is a bit weird isn’t it? absolutely no privacy right off the living room. Maybe if its a couple this works but two roommates would surely want privacy. Still seems high and I am not phased by DC rental prices either. I would say 2900 might be more practical.

    • You can do curtains, though. I used to have an apartment like this.

Agreed that it would work better for a couple, though.

  • I don’t understand the point of a room that’s supposedly a bedroom having glass doors to the rest of the apartment. No privacy!

The listing says there are two full bathrooms, but there are photos of only one. The one shown doesn’t have a tub; I’d want to make sure the other bathroom _did_ have a tub.

    • Oh, and if the “Nearby Garage Rental Parking for 185/mo” they’re referring to is the location I’m thinking of (the one beneath the condo lofts on 18th) I got on the waiting list there circa 2003, and to this day haven’t heard from them.

(Based on what they told me at the time about my place on the list and the average turnover, I was expecting to hear from them in about two years.)

    Too spendy!

  • Even though I’d put up curtains, I love the French doors. They totally let the light bounce everywhere.

  • Note that the published rental rate on this apt has come down from an advertised $3600 a couple of weeks ago.

  • Now this is when an open floor plan works. Gorgeous place and completely unaffordable. Alas.

  • The only reason any sensible person would consider living in this part of Adams Morgan is if they spent all night in the bars on 18th Street and slept all day. Champlain is basically the alley of 18th Street’s alley.
