  • “Pictures do not do this lovely apartment justice” — Well, I haven’t seen the apartment, but certainly it looks dark and depressing in those first two pics (whereas the kitchen and bathroom look bright).

The owner might need to take photos at a different time of day or use a flash (or force a flash if it’s currently on an auto setting).

  • Bad deal. There’s a “recently renovated” studio in the same building, same size for $250 less per month on Craigslist.

  • Great deal for the location. This might sound crazy, but I’ve been in a lot of studios on 17th and actually would consider this one of the larger ones. The balcony and included utilities sweeten the deal even further.

  • whaaaat? <500 sq ft is definitely not a good deal. not saying it's not what the market will bear, but there are way better deals to be had.

  • “Highly sought after” ?? Since when is that awfully ugly building “sought after”? I’d drop that lingo in the ad. Also, please take some better pics. It does look depressing and will turn many folks off.

  • Rents in D.C. are too high period. Paying almst $2,000 is a bit too much.

  • This is a good deal. We are getting about that much for our 650 sq. ft. 1 BR in Adams Morgan (fp/dw/w/d/patio/pets OK/no pkg/utilities incl.)
