  • Rave: Tallest Man on Earth show at 9:30 last night was awesome!
Rant: stop it with the flip-flops already.

  • Rave: Mount Vernon after dark was beautiful and the PERFECT birthday celebration!

  • Rant: All of the violence that seems to have popped up the last few months in this city. It is so sad.

  • RANT: Found rodent droppings on my stove in the new place. Eeeew.
RAVE: I’ll have to get back to you on this.

  • RAVE: First time in awhile I didn’t need Viagra last night!

    RANT: None! See above!!!

  • Rant: Metro escalators.

    • Totally. I’ve lived here for years and don’t think the one at the CoHi station on the east side of 14th has worked for more than a week during that time.

Revel: cooked Ethiopian yesterday! Successfully! Bought the injera at Dukem.
Rant: other than seconding the escalator, nothing!

      • Rant: people who insist on using the term “CoHi”. This is NOT Manhattan, people! Please don’t try to make the neighborhood seem even more trendy or hipsterish than it already is.

  • Rant: Violence in Petworth
Rave: Maybe all the bad guys are dead now?

  • Rant: Rain!

Rave: Made gumbo for dinner last night and have lots leftover for this week. Grat cold weather food.

  • Rant-ish: losing the best roommate I’ve ever had! (but he’s staying in the same building, just getting a 1 br apt with his girlfriend, so that’s the -ish part)

Rave: Already found a kick-ass roommate to fill his name on the lease!

Rant: Boys boys boys. I was hoping to be in a relationship (read: guaranteed snuggler) when it got colder.

Premature Rave: Maybe my broken ankle days are over? Keep your fingers crossed on Wednesday when I’m at the doctor’s!

  • Rave: Mail carrier who delivers a dog treat along with the US mail.

Rave: Blessing of the animals at Sacred Heart on Sunday – dogs, cats, birds, turtles and a hermit crab. One of the dogs was 22 years old and still getting around – amazing.

  • Rant: Person getting murdered behind my house at 600 Harvard Street.

Rave: Made it to the blessing at Sacred Heart on Sunday.

  • Rave: My fiance and I are gonna have a baby!

Rant: It was unplanned, so we’re both freaking out just a bit.

    • We have an unplanned pregnancy goin’ on too. Thinking we can’t do it, already have a full house, but so so so hard a decision. In our case I fear it won’t continue, got about a week to find our way. In your case, I wish you all the glory that it can be….

  • Rant: Leaky House.
Rave: Good contractor coming back out to fix leak.

Rave: Bedrooms almost done and painted.
Rant: Paint a lot different than tested. Fugly.

  • Menstrual cramps AND arthritis acting up today. Can’t stand for more than a few minutes witohut getting dizzy.

  • Rant: OK, so if it legal for kids in our city to retaliate against honest taxpayers who confront them for open air drug dealing, general pseudo-professional thuggery, and violent handgun use, what are we allowed to do to retaliate against their seemingly on-going sanctioned actions? Anyone who was retaliated against by the kid thugs care to share what it was you encountered (tough talk, beatings, break ins, threats?) and how horrible (or good) it felt to leave the city in fear and take you tax dollars elsewhere?
