From an email:

“Mid City Yoga, my guerrilla yoga company, is hosting a fun, summer outdoor yoga class every sunny (read: not rainy) Tuesday evening at 7pm in Thomas Circle. The 75 minute class will be an open-level flow, aimed at challenging experienced yogis and giving some experience to novices, all while enjoying the gorgeousness that is a DC Summer. I’ll be teaching, so come ready for a little bit of fun, a little bit of sweat, and some darn good company. The whole thing is pay what you can, so don’t stress– come play.

Thomas Circle is located on 14th Street NW, right at M Street and Mass Ave. The big horse statue is hard to miss. I’ll be the tall blonde guy with a yoga mat. 7pm.”

  • nice to see that someone is doing something with thomas circle! if the park service won’t actually make it a park that people want to use on a regular basis, then the people of the city will have to do so themselves.

but really, a picture from outside of DC?! you couldn’t find a yoga picture in the city? for shame! 🙂

  • I’m confused: are that guy’s pants ripping or are those unfortunate “designery ripped pants”? Either way, urgh. But Yoga = Great!

  • Yesssss two blocks from my apt! Too bad I missed this last night, but I will definitely be hitting up the next one!

  • Sounds like a cool event, but that picture is even cooler.

  • I went! It was lovely. Good company, good teacher, good spot, amongst the churches and in the grass while the sun sets. Most people decided to forgo mats even, for a little feet-in-the-dirt fun.
