A tall, thin, dark haired gentleman carrying a black backpack getting his vaccine at Rosedale Rec Center in northeast right around noon today (Friday)! He may have been smiling at me through his mask, or maybe I was just projecting through the haze of receiving my second shot. Who is this vaxxed king?”

“There was a handsome man (black vest, striped socks and brown shoes) sitting next to me at the Rosedale Rec Center in NE after getting our vaccinations at around noon today (Saturday 4/10). He said hello as I was sitting but we were 6 ft apart and it seemed inappropriate to strike up a conversation in that setting. As I was leaving, I looked back and thought, damn I should’ve said something. Figured here’s my chance!”

On Tuesday evening 4/6, I was out in Columbia Heights for a walk with my dog Reagan. We were headed South on Sherman Avenue near Columbia Road when we came up to a dog traffic jam on the sidewalk. On Thursday 04/01 in the morning I opened the door for a tall gentleman going into Tryst in AdMo. I insisted on holding the door until he walked through and he quipped at me with “Wow, chivalry is alive and well!”

All the tables were filled so I sat outside in the early spring chill and he came up to me and offered to share his table in the back since I wasn’t wearing a jacket. (more…)

Saw a very cute man in an orange shirt and baseball cap who was in line with his friend (what looked like post-workout) at Bagels etc… this weekend. I know we were making eye contact and I’m hoping that it was not just because there was something on my face. Would love to have the chance to actually say hello!”

I had a missed connection on Thursday March 11 around 5:00ish in the afternoon on Half St SE and M. I was caught off guard and completely missed my chance to get a name or number.

Me: Mid 20s Asian American woman. brown hair in a ponytail, beginning a run and wearing a black Rhodes t-shirt and black shorts

You: Male, dark hair, nice smile, driving a white truck and hanging a left onto M

“Dear PoPville,

Missed connection at Streets Market at 13th and Mass Ave, NW on Saturday, March 13th around 4:30pm. I arrived at the store as the same time as this guy that, although he got there first, held the door open for me like a gentlemen.

He was wearing a grey sweatshirt, black joggers and white sneakers. I’m guessing he’s a little over six foot.

We were in line at the checkout at the same time too – I was purchasing wine, he appeared to be going the healthier route with fruit.
