Thanks to Jessica for sending from Truxton Circle: “Urban front yard gardens require camouflage so that the red tomatoes can be disguised behind the veiling shishito peppers and fuzzy green okra. Veggie camouflage friends also include mint, rosemary, thai birdseye chilis, and some shy cucumbers who weren’t photo ready today.”

Please send your hauls to [email protected] and let me know what neighborhood it was grown in. Entries will be accepted through Labor Day weekend.

Thanks to Jenn for sending: “Here’s a photo of my garden haul. I’ve been collecting tomatoes all week but everything else was picked today. That lone little raspberry made my day. Also pictured: carrots, peppers, green beans, cukes, tomatoes, scallions, and figs.

Eggplants, zucchini, beets, potatoes, and herbs are growing, too.

I’ve been growing in two 8×2 raised beds, but this year I added a 4×4 raised bed, so I’ve been able to grow a greater variety this year. I’m on Van Buren (Takoma/Brightwood border).”
