September 18th 2019 launched us into the wonderful world of corgis, and later other breeds/pets, hitching rides around town, often via public transit, in backpacks. Sadly, the series had become another victim of the coronaville shutdown. Not for the first time nor for the last, I hope, it’s Meatloaf to the rescue!!

“Meatloaf has been spotted working from home, he is very sad to not be on the actual Metro anymore, as evidenced by photo #2.” (more…)

Thanks to Bort for sending from Frager’s, Eastern Market, Saturday.

And while I got a photo of seeds up there – another reader would like to know:

“I’m looking for a good, appropriately socially distant way to get flowers/ plants/ seeds during this. Are there any nurseries/ farmstands/ local growers offering pre-paid delivery or pick-up?

Thanks to Alisse for sending: “Moment of sunshine in union during the horrendous red line clogging this morning”

Regarding the delays: Earlier Metro Transit Police reported:

“Rockville: MTPD and @mcfrs o/s for trespasser struck by train. Incident did NOT occur at station & was result of individual climbing fence. (There are *no* pedestrian crossings anywhere on Metro.) Rescue operations are underway.”

From WMATA:

“Rockville: All clear, trains have resumed normal 2-track operations. Remember, Rush Hour Promise even covers delays outside Metro’s control like this one. If delayed 10+ min, you’ll get $ back if SmarTrip is registered. You can register before midnight for today’s delays.”
