Kim Prothro Williams, Architectural Historian with the DC Office of Planning’s Historic Preservation Office, will present the newly developed Brookland Neighborhood History StoryMap — an engaging digital experience that brings our community’s history to life through historic photographs, maps, charts, and storytelling. Learn how Brookland evolved from a rural crossroads into one of Washington’s most distinctive neighborhoods and discover the people, places, and events that shaped our community.

Kim is one of the District’s leading preservation professionals, with extensive experience researching, documenting, and interpreting Washington’s historic buildings, neighborhoods, and cultural landscapes. Her work has helped preserve and share the stories of communities across the District, making history accessible and relevant to residents today.
