The National Scrollathon is a nationwide community artmaking project that brought together participants in each state to create personal fabric scrolls representing their stories, hopes, and dreams. These were then woven together into a single collaborative masterwork. ArtFields, the Lake City, South Carolina-based arts organization behind the region’s largest art festival, served as the state’s official Program Host for the National Scrollathon. South Carolina’s collaborative masterwork joins pieces from all 50 states in a landmark national exhibition honoring America’s 250th anniversary.
