So all summer long I’ve felt like I have been tripping over yellow jackets. They are seemingly everywhere and always just buzzing along the ground. I’ve wondered what the hell is going on, and then I stumbled a tree completely infested with lantern flies and the ground around it was slick with syrupy honey dew (their shit), and a swarm of bees, hornets, and yellow jackets were lapping it up.
Curious to see if other folks have had a similar encounter because this sucks!”

“The moth was photographed on a garbage bin outside of the Giant in Silver Spring. I only noticed it because someone walking a small dog was pulled to a stop while the dog was investigating the moth. I was curious and stopped as well to see this moth just hanging, looking for some offerings.”
