I used to think Chevy Chase Bank ATMs were ubiquitious in Washington DC. Then I needed to get money. I realized that Chevy Chase has many commericials touting its numerous ATMs in the metro system. Well, that apparently doesn’t apply to many of those who live on the Green Line. If you want to get money in Shaw, U Street, or Petworth you better be prepared because you won’t find an ATM at the metro. So what is up with this blatant disrepect? Clearly in U Street, there are dozens of bars, restaurants and shops, no? So how on earth could the master planner’s not have put an ATM there? Do they think the Green Line stops are unsafe for an ATM? It is ludicrous and unacceptable. I used to think very highly of Benjamin Franklin. Now, he has become tainted by his affiliation…

Holy cow, I missed this in the Express yesterday.

“METRO IS WARNING commuters to expect significant delays during the afternoon rush on the Green Line going through the Georgia Avenue-Petworth station

This thing absolutely looks like it is from the future. Now at Gallery Place you can check what time the train is coming before you enter the station. I dig it but I just kept staring at it because I was pretty sure a movie was about to come on.

I wonder if you are going to start to see people booking down the escalators when they see their train is arriving in 1 minute. I envision an accident for sure and possibly a lawsuit…

I was on a walkabout today to see what trouble I could get into and trouble I found. But this is the good type. After walking the town a bit I decided to get on the metro at U Street to go to Pentagon City, when I notice that beautiful yellow stripe at the top of the metro sign. And sure enough the yellow line arrived in one minute! I couldn’t believe it. I have been dreaming of this. Well, I did my errands at the mall still flying high about the new yellow line stops when I head back into the metro assuming I can take the same yellow line back. But no, on the return trip the yellow line stopped at the usual Mt. Vernon Square. WTF? That is the biggest tease I have faced since Tania. But worse. I expect to ride the metro every day…wow, my mom reads this so I have to watch my analogies.

So what the hell? Is the yellow line going to stop at Petworth metro or not? I’m confused, somebody help me, please.
