I think this one is like 100 years old. It is also one of my new favorites.

Bet ya thought I would forget a transom for this week… This one was looking particularly sweet since the light was on behind it.

Not a transom nor a mural but they both stopped me in my tracks.


Thanks to a reader for sharing the artist info (Steve from Wholly Terra in Baltimore) of the guy who did his DC transom. These are phenomenal. You can see the rest of them here.



Couple of good subtle varieties.


While I generally hate roman numerals this one looks pretty sweet. Though I still have no idea what number it is…

While this isn’t my all-time favorite, it has definitely cracked the top 5.

These are both from the 1400 block of T St, NW. The one below is from a house getting completely renovated, hopefully this part stays.
