Thanks to a reader up in North Country for sending this phenomenal church sign. Amazing.

“So what church do you attend? You know the one off Sherman Circle – The House of God Which is the Church of the Living God the Pillar and Ground of the Truth Without Controversy, Inc.”

I’m exhausted just typing it. Now that I think about it I’m pretty sure there is some controversy…

Normally I like fluorescent neon lights but I think this one is kind of goofy given how awesome their mural is. Good sign or not? Mural after the jump. (more…)

I always like keeping my eyes peeled for how much I can get paid for my unwanted car because I believe it is a phenomenal barometer for the health of the economy. So I was delighted to see a new record price of $155. (Not a good sign for the economy.) It seems like just yesterday when the going rate was $125.

I thought this picture was particularly fresh because of the license plate leaned right up against the sign. Almost like the deal was so good someone took it on the spot.

Holy cow, a free recorded message? Have you ever heard of a better incentive? I’ve read some stories about this tough housing market and folks sweetening the deal with free cars, HDTVs even boats. But damn, a free recorded message…what’s this market coming to? Next they’ll be offering free fliers…

Ed. note: I think it’s actually Savon Liquors but if you look at it from across the street quickly, like I did, with the spacing it looks like it says Save on Liquors but forgot the E. Ah, forget it.

Thanks to Bogfrog for pointing this one out. So do people often store rugs and carpets in cold storage?
